先聊聊年輕時(shí)和現(xiàn)在早上的區(qū)別吧——

When I was younger - like a teenager - I could sleep till midday no problem. Now I can"t really sleep in that late even if I try. And back then I never used to eat breakfast, whereas now I always do.

再說(shuō)說(shuō)「Gifts」主題的四個(gè)問(wèn)題——

Not really, if I"m being honest. I"m not particularly crafty or creative in that way. I think handmade gifts are lovely when people put the effort in, but it"s just not really my thing. I"d probably make a right mess of it! I tend to just buy presents instead - it"s easier and probably safer for everyone involved.

說(shuō)到收到的好禮物，有個(gè)例子特別難忘——

Yeah, a few over the years. One that stands out was when a friend got me a signed book by one of my favourite authors - that was really thoughtful because she knew how much I loved his writing. It"s those personal touches that make a gift special, isn"t it? Not necessarily how expensive it is, but the thought behind it.

那選禮物的本事呢？他這么說(shuō)——

I"d say I"m alright, yeah. I try to think about what the person would actually like or use, rather than just getting something generic. Sometimes I get it spot on, other times maybe not so much. I think it depends on how well you know the person, doesn"t it? The better you know someone, the easier it is to choose something they"ll appreciate.

最近收到啥禮物？聽(tīng)聽(tīng)看——

Let me think... For my birthday I got some books, which was nice - always happy with books. And someone got me a decent bottle of whisky as well, which went down very nicely! Nothing too extravagant, just thoughtful stuff from friends and family.

再聊聊「Reading」的事兒——

Yeah, I love it actually. I"ve always been a big reader - it"s one of my main hobbies. I try to read most evenings before bed, even if it"s just for twenty minutes or so. It"s a nice way to unwind, isn"t it? I mainly go for fiction - crime thrillers, that sort of thing - but I"ll read pretty much anything if it"s well written.

紙質(zhì)書(shū)和電子書(shū)，他更愛(ài)哪個(gè)？——

Paper books, definitely. There"s just something about holding an actual book that I prefer. I know e-readers are more convenient and you can carry loads of books around, but I like the feel of turning pages. Plus, I spend enough time looking at screens during the day with work, so it"s nice to give my eyes a break in the evening.

掃描讀還是仔細(xì)讀，看什么？——

It depends what I"m reading, really. For work stuff - like emails or documents - I"ll usually scan through quickly to get the main points. But when I"m reading a novel or something I"m actually interested in, I"ll read it properly, taking my time. I think most people do that, don"t they? You adjust your reading style depending on what you need from the text.

哪些情況得仔細(xì)讀？答案在這——

Well, anything work-related I need to read carefully - lesson plans, exam papers, that sort of thing. You can"t afford to miss important details in that kind of stuff. Same with contracts or official documents, you know, when you"re signing up for something. Basically anything where there might be consequences if you misunderstand it - that"s when you need to properly concentrate.

最后說(shuō)「Walking」的問(wèn)題——

I"d say a moderate amount. I walk to work when the weather"s decent, which is about twenty minutes each way, so that"s something. And I try to go for a proper walk at the weekend - you know, out in the countryside or along a nice route. I"m not doing marathons or anything, but I get out and about fairly regularly.
